: UL medical students to commence placement at Ennis Road Medical Centre.

Ennis Road medical centre is proud of its long commitment to medical education. This commenced with the acceptance of medical students on rotation from UCC in the 1990's. In 2010 Dr Gerard O'Connell was appointed GP tutor to the UL based Mid Western GP training scheme and Dr Aoife O'Connell has been a regular tutor to undergraduate students since the foundation of the Graduate Entry Medical School in UL. Following his return from Perth, where he held the position of senior clinical lecturer in the University of Western Australia, Dr. Simon O'Connell is happy to commence accepting students from UL on a formal basis. The students will be with us on 9 to 18 week rotations and we would like to thank our patients in advance for their assistance in training the next generation of doctors!
